Pet Hotels

What is a pet hotel?

Pet hotels are places that people put their pets in for any range of time- a day, a week, or even a month- when the pet paren't can't be with them. They're a step up from kennels. For cats, prices usually start at $20 per night and go up from there. Prices vary based on how much activity the owner wants the cat to have, such as "one on one playtime" or "toenail trim".

Common amenities include:
  • Grooming
  • Heating and air conditioning (sometimes even heated floors for the pets)
  • Professionally trained staff onsite 24 hours a day
  • Indoor play areas
  • Moisture resistant surfaces
  • Air filtration
  • Fire sprinkler system

Activities the staff would do include:
  • Feeding the cats
  • Changing the cats' water
  • Changing out litter boxes
  • "One on one playtime"
  • Ushering kitties to and from "playgroup"
  • All kinds of grooming

Examples of real pet hotels are below.
